Schedule a ConsultationWhen a DOT regulated employee in a safety sensitive job has a drug/alcohol testing violation, the employer must remove them from safety sensitive duty and refer them to a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
The six (6) Operating Administrations under DOT required to follow testing regulations under 49 CRF Part 40 include:
- FMCSA – Federal Motor Carrier Administration
- FRA – Federal Railroad Administration
- FAA – Federal Aviation Administration
- FTA – Federal Transit Administration
- USCG – U.S. Coast Guard
- PHMSA – Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
As a Substance Abuse Professional, Lisa Wolper provides the following services:
Initial Evaluation
A thorough clinical assessment and evaluation, including psychosocial history and an administration of quantitative testing tools adhering to current clinical evidence based standards.
Appropriate Referrals
An appropriate treatment plan and clinically appropriate referrals that take into account the level and severity of substance abuse, cost, location, and employee’s work schedule.
Tracking
Ongoing support, including monitoring and following the employee through the treatment and/or education requirement. Lisa will encourage compliance and can report progress to the employer when needed.
Follow-up Evaluation
The final meeting with the employee to determine if the employee has complied with the treatment plan. A follow-up testing schedule and aftercare plan is arranged at this time.
